Dim and Dimmer
....the state of our fanbase.... queus were long but moving at the turnstiles yesterday... could never understand why they should be taking any longer than with a card- so looked at four gates as we shuffled forward....two women were holding their paper tickets up against the reader...toook about 2 mins each to sort it out- one teenager literally screwed the paper up up in a ball and pushed in the slot...then finally the dimlow in front of me tried three time with his phone facing away from the ligh...wheh i toid him he said" thats bollx it worked the other way last time..."

overall the security seems even more laid back and i didnt see any covid checks - anyone else?

"How is sticking your phone or a bit of paper into a scanner so fucking hard for some people? It's not like there's multiple holes in the wall. Maybe a little sign saying 'barcode upwards please' but surely it's just common sense."

___

You've answered your own question there with the mention of common sense. So many thick cunts completely lack common sense.

Got to the queues about 1.00pm yesterday. About 3 people in front of me for security, perhaps 5 for the turnstiles (Bobby Moore stand).

The queue was ridiculous. It was the first game I've got to this season as was on holiday for the others so far. We must have been stood in a line waiting to get through the turnstiles for about 10 minutes.

How is sticking your phone or a bit of paper into a scanner so fucking hard for some people? It's not like there's multiple holes in the wall. Maybe a little sign saying 'barcode upwards please' but surely it's just common sense. It took me about three seconds to get myself and my dad through using my phone for both of us. It didn't look like no-one's codes were not working or anything like that.

Might have been helpful if there were a few stewards right at the turnstiles to guide the more mentally challenged people, but I was genuinely surprised how long it seemed to take several people to work out how to enter the stadium.

True. It was never too bad, a few minutes wait at worst.

Re: Dim and Dimmer
The queues to get in the BML were at most 30 or 40 people. Sometimes I'd walk up and go through with no queue.

There were queues at UP. I don't mean the tube station.

Re: Dim and Dimmer
Don't get me started on this.

The queues to get through the tent security and the queues to get through the turnstiles are an absolute disgrace.

Stood in both yesterday and got soaked.

We never had queues at UP why have we got to have them here? Are other grounds so stupid?

I've downloaded the email to my apple wallet and it scans the QR code pretty instantaneous, not sure whats so difficult.

OiOi
i was about to post similar; but it was the other way round -

My experience has been that QR codes are pretty instant - printed barcodes take longer. Then you have plonkers like my brother who zooms in to the barcode on the phone.... worked eventually but just why?

Re: Dim and Dimmer
I have noticed that the scanner takes a few seconds to read the code on my phone but is pretty much instant when reading a printed barcode. It's no harder than sticking a plastic card in the slot. Can't see the problem. Also, I stopped and passed the time of day with a steward who was clearly helping a punter with kids.

Almost as bad as the thick cunts on here who jump on players backs after 1 bad game.

50% of the population are of lower intelligence. Its not wise to give them complex things to do.

Re: Dim and Dimmer
They havent ever done covid checks

The reason why there are queues is because the retards they employ as stewards offer no help to speed the process along. One yesterday stood there with his arms folded watching a middle aged bloke struggle with the reader 15 mins before KO with a massive queue stood in front of him

They really are waste of space locals who could just about tie their shoe laces together
